BLOG FACE BOOK ART OF LIFE AND CURIOSITY
Art of Life and Curiosity will be ready for print in late March 2023.
I am very excited to share the insights learned from contemporary and ancient wellness modalities.
By examining psychology, anthropology, religion, and zeitgeists crossing time and cultures, we discover healing wisdom that can be utilised to enhance our relationships, connect to our truth, and build a stronger sense of self. When we are curios about healing the affects of challenging life experiences we can create change, not only for ourselves, but for our environment and others.

Creative Arts Therapy can enable us to express emotions without using words, when words are too challenging to find.
It can also be a helpful tool in processing thoughts and feelings so they make more sense at times when life seems confusing and full of unknowns.
When we engage with creative processes in mindful ways, we can lower stress hormones and calm the central nervous system which then allows us to see our world from new, more helpful perspectives.

-
We keep our group numbers small to enable the representation of a positive family unit experience.
-
We have strong therapeutic bonds due to the safe boundaries that members have created as a group.
-
Session topics are chosen by participants through by discovering common themes during initial group sharing at the beginning of each session.
-
As a Trauma Counsellor and Art Therapist, I facilitate the group while providing emotional safety and opportunities for sharing, challenge and change.
-
At the same time, group members are encouraged to discover personal strengths and mind, body, spirit, earth and relationship connections.
-
This offers members a powerful influence on how I might assist them to meet their own needs in the group environments and as individuals.
-
As a facilitator, I will offer many types of strengths based psychotherapeutic tools such as positive communication, inner critic awareness, understanding and managing triggers, mindfulness practice, emotion and body awareness.
-
As personal strengths build and positive relationship with self and others develop, members practice what they have learned in group, in their every day lives.
