Psycho-Education Workshops
Any topics in my Psycho-Education or Professional Development workshops  may be facilitated as a Stand Alone Workshop.
We incorporate Trauma Informed Art Therapy and Somatic Experiencing  into our workshops amongst other relaxation and mindfulness techniques. 

Workshops can be designed on many topics for Private, Community or Corporate Groups for 3 to 300 +  participants.

Professional Development Workshops (PD)
  • Professional Development using Creative Arts Processes is targeted at those working and studying to work in helping industries, ( teaching, nursing, counselling and other workers and therapists).
  • Upskill your knowledge and experience base using therapeutic arts, while investing your own wellbeing.
  • Engage with other creative minds to enable fresh perspectives and approaches to your work space and personal life.
  •  As a qualified trainer, Mairead  will design your PD to meet the competencies of a related Australian Skills Quality Authority accredited course to meet your needs and learning style and requirements.
  • You can choose to have as much or as little input into content selection as you wish.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning  (RPL) may be awarded on application of a compatable VET course  if you choose to follow a career path with the  course regestration and learning outcomes clearly displayed on your certificate of completion.
  • The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the national regulator for Australia's vocational education and training (VET) sector

Personalised Professional Development 

  • Having gained my Training and Assessment (Cert IV TAE) I am qualified to teach in the fields of Counselling,   (Bachelor),  Art Therapy (Advanced Diploma) and Wellness Coaching (Diploma) and in industry courses with cross-over unitis of competancy.
  • The duration of a PD workshop will depend on your requirements.

Professional Devopment Example

In this PD example, I was requested to provide foundational Creative Arts Therapy techniques for Primary School teachers and Wellness

coordenators.

The learning goal was to add to the already vast set of skills and aid communication around challenging topics with their students utilising creative processes and mind body connection.

Creatve Arts Therapies is an experiential modality were learning is doing. You will see role play, and personal work in this workshop. This practical componant of this workshop highlights understanding of the task that developes from hands on experience.

 

I provide overheads during workshops and e-notes at least 2 weeks prior. I encourage participants to take their own notes. Experiences may differ to between peers. We may have our own special interests and biases. It is often a valuable expeience to exchage  personal insights and new knowlege.
